Apple Polyphenols - Hair Regrowth

People tend to be embarrassed if they start losing hair. This is why they are constantly searching for new methods of hair regrowth. One of these methods involves apple polyhenols. The world of alternative medicine is a very volatile one. Every day, alternative medicine gives us cures for diseases. Apple polyphenols are known to help in the process of hair regrowth.

What are apple polyphenols?

Apples contain many polyphenols. These polyphnols are antioxidants that have great effects on human body. The types of polyphenols are catechins, tannins, flavonols, flavonoids and anthocyanidins.

How do they help us?

Protecting our body would be impossible without antioxidants. Pollution or chemicals can steel electrons from parts of our body and this process will be irreversible if we would not have antioxidants. What antioxidants do is make the stolen electrons healthy again. Great example where antioxidants help is in the field of skin cancer.

Polyphenol extracted from some fruits is the best in avoiding sun produced skin cancer. A large number of tanning creams contain polyphenol for this exact reason. Changing the electrons into free radicals may affect all parts of our body not only skin or scalp.

How do they help hair regrowth
Recent studies have revealed that apple Polyphenol has a great effect when it comes to hair regrowth. In order to understand how Polyphenol helps we have to take a look at the 3 cycles of the hair growth:

- The first cycle is named anagen. This phase can last 6 years. In this phase most of our hair is grown.

- The second cycle is named catagen. It only lasts 2 weeks but this is the most important phase of hair growth. All the hair that grew in the precedent stage must be held by the scalp pores. This is the phase when the root is a little below the scalp.

- The third cycle is named the telogen. This stage lasts about one month. At the end of this stage, the hair must attach to the root. After that stages begin all over again.

The benefic effect of apple polyphenols happens in the first phase of hair growth, the anagen. One of these polyphenols, apple procyanidin b-2 is of extreme importance. This polyphenol helps the anagen phase to begin and produce more hair for the scalp. Because procyanidin b-2 stimulates the anagen cycle to begin, it is of highly importance for the alternative medical world today.

The largest amounts of this polyphenol can be found in apples. Maybe, in a couple of years we will have a cure and people will not need to spend huge amounts of money for hair transplants or other products. Unfortunately, many try to scam people and state they found the miracle of hair regrowth. It is important to know that small companies that only charge a few dollars for the cure of baldness are most probably scammers that try to make a profit without giving anything instead.
